Yogananda Speaks on Brotherhood

If you love the world and consider it as your own family, and believe in it and love it, recognizing no difference between different nationalities, then you will establish your legitimate Astral right of owning your share of the earth's capital.

According to the Law of God and of Christ brotherhood, this earth was to be the home where all the wealth of the mines and other resources would be equally distributed by equal labor. And the law of Divine birthright was established, which is, that all men are the children of God, and made in the image of God; all nations are of one blood, and all men are the descendants of Adam and Eve.

But man, being used by. the Satanic evil force, prefers to create natural boundaries, necessitating the building of armaments, and in the spending of people's money in arming brother against brother.

We must cease to fear our own brothers. Love and trust beget love and trust. Let us follow the Gandhi teaching of "each for all and all for each.''

Let every man gather from five to ten thousand dollars, and, in groups of thirty, let them build self-sustaining, self-governing colonies, starting with California. Do not spend the principal of the money, except what is necessary to buy land and to start the colony. Put the money in a trust fund. Pay taxes with the interest. If taxes were abolished, people could live by exchange.

The entire product of a community must be commandeered three hours a day in order to produce only the extreme necessities of life. Time should not be wasted in producing luxuries. Start now building colonies, and stop industrially selfish society from gambling with your destiny.

Get away from the perpetual slavery of holding jobs to the last day of your life. Buy farms and settle down with harmonious friends.

Work three hours a day and live in the luxury of literary wealth, and have time to constructively exchange Divine experiences and meditate.

1. Shut down luxuries.

2. Think yourself a child of God.

3. Think of all nationalities as your brothers.

4. Seek prosperity for yourself and for others.

5. Develop the creative thought of success every day after deep meditation.

Rousing the astral power of positive prosperity.

Those who seek prosperity for themselves only, are bound to be poor for sometime, or to suffer from mental inharmony, but those who take the world as their home and who really think and work for group or world prosperity, start the Astral forces to work, leading them to the place where they can find their legitimate prosperity. This is the surest secret law.

Prosperity is not dependent only upon creative ability, but upon your past actions, and also on the Astral law of cause and effect, which has the power to distribute prosperity equally to all without exception. Those who rouse this Astral power of positive prosperity succeed wherever they go, whether they are in prosperous or poverty-stricken environments.
